How to Book Tickets

General Booking for the 2008 Canterbury Festival is now closed. 

In Person
The Festival Box Office, located in the Canterbury Tourist Information Centre (opposite the Cathedral entrance in the Buttermarket), is open Monday-Saturday 9.30am-4.30pm and Sunday 10am-3.30pm. Booking for the General Public opens on Monday 11 August (except for events at the Marlowe Theatre which open on 18 August).
 

By Phone
The Festival Box Office can accept telephone bookings for all coded events except those at the Marlowe Theatre, Gulbenkian Theatre, and Theatre Royal Margate. Tickets for these events should be booked directly with the theatres.

Reservations are provisional until payment is received and are released after 5 working days. Please note that there is a £2 booking fee for telephone bookings but you will not be charged for postage.

Forms will be processed from 11 August, except those with requests for tickets for events at the Marlowe Theatre. These will be processed from 18 August.

Please note that it may take some weeks to dispatch your tickets. Please note that there is a £2 booking fee for postal bookings but you will not be charged for postage.

Tickets for Festival events (excluding those taking place at the Gulbenkian, Marlowe and Theatre Royal) can be booked securely on this website, when booking opens for the 2009 Festival.

Please note that there is a £2 booking fee per transaction for online bookings but you will not be charged for postage.


Tickets for events at the Gulbenkian Theatre can be booked securely online via their website: www.gulbenkiantheatre.co.uk or click on the Book Now buttons on the individual events pages.

Tickets for events at the Marlowe Theatre can be booked securely online via their website: www.marlowetheatre.com or click on the Book Now buttons on the individual events pages. Please note that you may not book online for events at the Marlowe Theatre until Monday 18 August.

Concessions, where available, are detailed in brackets in the ticket price sections of each event listing.
 
Refunds and Exchanges
Unfortunately tickets cannot be exchanged or money refunded.
 
   

Important Information

Please note that all tickets purchased through the Festival Box Office or online will appear on your bank statement as The Company Presents or Canterbury City Council.
