Following the fantastic support of our Festival donors, fundraising events and Friends support, we have reached the Arts Council's Match Funding target of £162,500 and are delighted to be able to welcome back the Spiegeltent for 2015 to host spectacular cabaret, circus, puppetry, comedy, dance, music and family events.
This is the final year of the Catalyst funding so from now on - if we want the Spiegeltent - we'll have to keep fundraising and ask for your help to do so.
As well as supporting us through buying tickets please consider donating whatever you can afford to bridge the gap in costs between what we can raise at the box office and what staging a Festival like our actually costs. Government support for the Arts is dwindling but we are determined to preserve Canterbury Festival.
Your Festival needs you!
WAYS TO HELP US:
You can help us achieve this by making a donation or by becoming a Friend of the Festival (and also receive priority booking privileges).
If you think you could make a donation (no matter how small) please visit our BT MyDonate page - literally every pound will help us bring the Speigeltent closer to Canterbury for next year's Festival.
The Canterbury Festival Spiegel 100 Club has now been successfully running for two years. It is a fundraising initiative in which you can be a winner!
By signing up to donate £5 per month for a minimum of a year, you will be supporting our bid to bring the Spiegeltent back to Canterbury. For the price of two cups of coffee a month, you'll not only be supporting the Spiegeltent, you'll also be allocated a number between 1 and 100. This number will then be entered into a monthly prize draw where you stand the chance to win £50.
To join, download the application form here and post it to:
Amanda McKean, Canterbury Festival, 8 Orange Street, Canterbury, CT1 2JA
(unfortunately the form requires a signature so electronic copies cannot be accepted).
