This year's Canterbury Festival takes place from 15-29 October 2011.

 Tickets can be booked online, by phone, in person or by post:

Tickets for Festival events can be booked securely on this website 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Simply navigate to the event you would like to book tickets for, and click the Book Now button.  You will be asked to register your address details as a new user first, then you can proceed with your booking.

Online booking information for Friends of the Festival
Friends of the Festival who use online booking for the first time during the priority booking period need to activate their account by clicking here and entering the details they were sent with their brochure.

Friends of the Festival who have used online booking previously only require their email address and password and can procced by clicking a book now button next to their chosen event. A reminder of the password can be requested at point of login.

There are also online booking facilities at www.thegulbenkian.co.uk and www.theatreroyalmargate.com for events at those theatres.

Festival Box Office  01227 787787

The Festival Box Office accept telephone bookings, Mon to Sat 9am-6pm. Also open Sunday 9, 16, 23 October, 10am-4pm. Reservations are provisional until payment is received and are released after 4 working days, please quote your booking reference when paying.

Tickets for events at the Gulbenkian Theatre and Theatre Royal Margate can also be booked directly with the theatres.  (See Box Office contact details below).

The Festival Box Office, located in the Visitor Information Centre (opposite the Cathedral entrance in The Buttermarket), is open Monday to Saturday 9am-5pm, plus Sunday 9, 16, 23 October, 10am-4pm.

All events can be booked on the booking form contained within the Festival brochure, which must be returned to the Festival Box Office at least one week prior to the event.

* These bookings are subject to a £2 booking fee, plus 80p postage. Please note that there are no booking fees for bookings in person or if you book at The Gulbenkian Theatre.


NB: The booking fee is charged per transaction NOT per ticket.  This is an unavoidable administration cost and no proceeds from this fee will go to Canterbury Festival.  Payment by debit card, cash or cheque is preferred.

Friends of the Festival Priority Booking

Friends of the Festival benefit from 2 weeks priority booking as well as enjoying discounts on selected shows, year-round events and newsletters.  Visit the Friends pages for more information and join the Friends via the Festival Box Office in person or on 01227 787787, or the Festival Office on 01227 452853.

Current Friends Priority Booking

Priority booking is available to Friends of the Festival in person, by phone, by post and online.  Current Friends must register online prior to booking using their unique membership number provided by post.

Concessions

Concessions, where available, are detailed in brackets in the ticket price sections of each event listing.  Contact the Gulbenkian Theatre and Theatre Royal Margate Box Offices directly for detailed concessions information on events at those venues.

Refunds and Exchanges

Unfortunately tickets cannot be exchanged or money refunded.
