Are you as funny as Harry Hill? Or perhaps you’re the next Michael Mcintyre? If so- read on!


Canterbury Festival is searching for Kent’s best comedians to perform during the 2017 Festival, as part of its annual Made in Kent: Comedy Competition.

All that is required is to complete the details below and to submit a short clip (approx. 2 min) of your best material. Nothing professional required- recorded on your phone, or a link to youtube, is fine.

Shortlisted applicants will be invited to perform in front of a festival audience on 17th October 2017. Within that audience will be the judging panel! All applicants will be assessed on the night and the winner will be declared at the end of the evening. The winner will receive: 

  • A paid gig at the 2018 Canterbury Festival
  • Future gigs via Off The Kerb Productions
  • Guidance and advice from industry professionals
