She got in touch with us to request a work placement during her Easter break and we were delighted to have her come in to spend two weeks with us and show her all we could about how the Festival works. Gilly Wadmore has been attending events at Canterbury Festival for over 26 years, has been a Festival volunteer and currently supports the Festival 100 Club. LINK 2016 PROJECT – NEETs SHOWCASE

Canterbury Festival has worked closely with Canterbury College’s Music department on a 3-week Summer Intensive Music project for young people aged 16-23 who are, or are at risk of becoming, not currently in employment, education or training (NEET). The project has allowed young people to work with professional musicians and gain lots of experience in both or either music performance, or music production. Read more
