A showcase of art work produced by clients of Canterbury based charity, Catching Lives will be displayed at 35-37 Gallery, Folkestone at the end of this month.
Canterbury Festival initially teamed up with local art facilitators to provide a free 'Teach, Educate, Create' course covering various aspects of how to deliver community workshops, including planning, risk assessments and safeguarding. On completion of the course, facilitators gained hands on experience by delivering various workshops at Catching Lives. Workshop themes included lino printing, animation, badge making, flag making and music amongst others.
The pieces created from these workshops will be showcased at 35-37 Gallery, Tontine St, Folkestone from 30th March - 4th April 2019, 10am-4pm daily.
Catching Lives is an independent charity which aims to help rough sleepers and vunerably housed people across East Kent by giving them access to support and facilities that they may not receive elsewhere.
