The Festival Friends are pleased to announce they are holding a Spring Concert in the charming surroundings of Charlton Park on 8 April featuring acclaimed mezzo soprano Emily Renshaw.

A graduate of Canterbury Christ Church University, Emily is currently Director of Music at Simon Langton Grammar School for Boys and, among many other musical commitments, is Co-Director of the popular Canterbury Cantata. Emily also leads a variety of singing groups focusing on music to improve physical and mental health. 

Emily is an experienced soloist performing both with choral societies across the South East, and with her regular accompanist Jamie Rogers.  In this latter capacity Emily will be performing ‘An Afternoon of Musical Romance’ including Schumann’s Frauenliebe und Leben along with some lighter pieces by Gershwin and Cole Porter.

Doors open at 2.30 and the recital begins at 3pm.
