‘One of Britain’s liveliest musical forces’ (The Times)

Madeleine Mitchell has championed the British violin in concert halls all over the world. In this afternoon’s concert she plays romantic works by Goossens, Howells and Bridge (all pupils of Stanford) as well as Stanford's Characteristic Pieces Op.93 and Irish Rhapsody, and a work written for Madeleine by Britten's assistant, David Matthews - Romanza - from her new album Violin Muse of works by established British composers
