In partnership with the Festival’s Headline Sponsor, Kent College, we are delighted to present award-winning architect Ptolemy Dean, who grew up in Brabourne and is an alumnus of the school. As works continue on Kent College’s new Great Hall due for completion in 2019, Ptolemy’s subject is particularly apt, touching on the challenges and joys of contemporary architecture in an historic context. Ptolemy was responsible for the Triforum Galleries Project at Westminster Abbey where he is Surveyor of the Fabric. Other projects include work at Easton Neston, which won regional and national RIBA awards in 2012. Ptolemy has appeared as the resident ‘ruin detective’ on BBC2’s programme, Restoration.
